Competition Enforcement & Regulatory Affairs

Competition Enforcement & Regulatory Affairs

IMPACT OF BROADER POLITICAL CONTEXT

Competition cases and regulation are linked, and both are addressed in the broader political context. Decision-making involves priority setting and policy imperatives that take into account substantive and political views from a variety of groups within the EU institutions through formal and informal consultations. Coordination with other authorities also plays an important role.

We will work alongside internal and external legal counsel, as well as government affairs and communications teams to provide the insider’s perspective and vet strategic options. We have advised senior managers in business and government on a large variety of unilateral and collusion antitrust cases, as well as mergers and regulatory cases. We have also worked with decision-makers in the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the European Council to raise questions, shape policy, and formulate rules.
